Terrorism
has no justification, no matter what pretext terrorist use for their deeds.”
Says Mohamed El Aziz Ben Achour, a Tunisian Culture and Preservation of
Heritage Minister. Many people today view terrorism in different ways,
some view terrorism the same way as Ben Achour and others are with the
terrorism themselves. Just like Many people were ruling for “Anders Behring Breivik” and his bad ways.
The situation that happened in Norway on July 22, 2011 the terrorist attack. Eight people
died in a bombing in Oslo while 69 young people died on nearby Utøya Island.
This was the deadliest attack in Norway since World
War II. Anders Behring Breivik was the person behind
all this. He wanted attention from the world, not only Norway but he wanted the
whole world to know his name, and the saddest thing is he got exactly what he
wanted. He had people following his footsteps.
“One person’s freedom fighter is another
person’s terrorist” This sentence means what it means. And my meaning by that
is, a terrorist can also be looked up to, for some people terrorist are some
kind of a “hero” for them. Just like some of us look up to Nelson Mandela as a
freedom fighter.
Personal I think it does not give anyone the
right to be violence in order to reach their goal for something to be justifiable. They do not need to intimidate people
with violence or cause fear. Many innocent people loses their life, family and loved ones.
Finally the answer I have been looking
for is no, terrorism is never justifiable. Terrorism is not justifiable because
it does not contribute to a goal of a more peaceful society. Terrorism contributes
to conflict and it brings fear to the people.
