Last
lesson on Monday, we were reading and talking about some poem from our English
book called “ The right Word” by Imtiaz Dharker (1954, Pakistan/UK) and “Global Village” by Yusuf M. Adamu ( Nigeria).
We read the poem out loud in class with the
others, and we had to analyze the poem as we understood it in our own way. I choose
just to write about “Global village”
Here is a little stanza from the poem:
“They try had in harder ways
to make us part of that village
but we know we are different and
shall strive to live outside
that fashioned unsafe village.”
My understanding as I’m reading these little stanza from the poem “ Global Village” by Yusuf M. Adamu. I’m think that is about
race, the “leader” is trying to force people to do things they don’t want to
do. Even though how much they are being forced, they know they will not be the
same as the others.
Good - pay attention to grammar and spelling.
